Education Assistant

As a team member of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will help build a positive working environment and, through excellence in your work, enable the Center to inspire, transform and build our community through exceptional live experiences.

Under the general supervision of the director of programming and community engagement and in collaboration with the education programs manager, the education assistant will provide support to Center's curriculum based arts education programs.
 

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

The following are the primary/essential functions of the position, and are not all-inclusive.
  • Work collaboratively with education programs manger to coordinate set up needs for education events.
  • Process registrations and prepare materials for Classroom Connections teacher workshops.
  • Assist with Center Stage program communications and coordination of events.
  • Research information for and help create educator and performance resource guides.
  • Provide support at selection education and community engagement events.
  • Complete reports as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
  • Assist in maintaining educator contact records.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required knowledge and competencies:
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, ACT  and the ability to navigate online.
  • Attention to detail and ability to apply critical thought to projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Creative problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the performing arts preferred.
  • Availability to work occasional weekend and evening hours as dictated by event schedule and program needs.

Education/Certification and Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in education, communications, arts management or related field.

Salary

  • This is a part-time position with wages paid every two weeks based on a per hour rate.
