Event Supervisor

As an employee of the Fox Cities performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for live performing arts and as a gathering place for the community.

The event supervisor position is under the direct supervision of the food, beverage & event manager. Event supervisors will work to ensure excellent guest service per the standards set forth by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. This part-time position is responsible for assisting in the coordination and execution of all Center internal and external-non ticketed events.


The following are the primary/essential administrative functions of the position, and are not all-inclusive.
  • Assist in the training and development of the food and beverage team.
  • Assist the food, beverage & event manager on a directed basis in the general administrative duties including but not limited to; developing procedures, product inventory, event preparation, and attending local trade shows to help improve product selection.
  • Maintain internal files related to each special event.
  • Maintain Venue Cube and all event related reporting and analysis


The following are the primary/essential event functions of the position, and are not all-inclusive.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of all Center non-ticked events
  • Create event related drawings and plans using the Visio program
  • Assist staff as needed with event related preparation.
  • Actively enforce the Center’s guidelines and policies concerning Health Code & Liquor License.
  • Maintain communication with clients and monitor the execution of each event.
  • Assist in coordinating all internal meetings, community engagement activities & receptions.
  • Cross train to execute food & beverage supervisor related responsibilities.

Minimum qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Effectively and attentively resolve guest concerns and complaints by providing professional customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local and state alcohol laws, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of local and state health code rules and regulations.
  • General knowledge of safe driving policies and practices per city of Appleton.
  • Ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of a large group of employees.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours.
  • Ability to anticipate problems before significant repercussions occur.
  • Ability to develop and build teamwork.
