Facility Services Associate

As an employee of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as a premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.

This position is under the general supervision of the facilities services associate lead. This is a part-time position responsible for providing a clean, presentable and safe environment through a variety of custodial and event set up duties in order to maintain the highest level of showcase quality for all Center related events.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Custodial Duties
  • Performs basic cleaning tasks including but not limited to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash collection and removal.
  • Operates basic cleaning equipment such as vacuums, backpack vacuums, mops, carpet cleaning equipment and automatic floor scrubbing equipment.
  • Utilizes the proper chemicals and methods to clean up various spills, graffiti and stains per manufacturer's specifications.
  • Cleans and sanitizes water fountains, floors, walls, windows, doors, blinds, bathroom fixtures, etc.
  • Stocks required supplies such as paper products, soap dispensers, etc.
2. Event Duties
  • Inventories storage rooms, before during and the end of each shift.
  • Sets up event locations according to set standards, prodecures, work orders and room layouts.
  • Immediate tear down after each event to ensure the Center's showcase quality standards.
3. Customer Service
  • Greets and welcomes all clients.
  • Assists clients with any setup needs.
  • Answers questions from clients if appropriate
4. Other Duties
  • Performs all duties in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Keeps radio commuication with staff.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned by the facilities associate lead.
  • Fills out showcase quiality check sheets on a daily basis.

Qualifications, knowledge and skills

  • Must by 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma.
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry the following:
    • Stylex Chairs in stacks of 5 equaling 75 lbs and carry up a flight of stairs 20-25 times.
    • Balcony Barrier weighting 135 lbs. with the assistane of another associate.
    • 4'x 8' staging weighing over 100 lbs. up a flight of steps with assistance of another associate.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined space.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to handle many tasks at once.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems in a quick and efficient manner.


  • This is a part-time position, wage to commensurate with experience.
