Ticket Agent

As an employee of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.

Under the general supervision of the Center Ticketing Managers, a Ticket Agent assists in the operations of the Ticket Office to ensure excellent customer service per the standards set forth by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

This 10-20 hour per week part-time position requires a flexible schedule with weekdays, nights and weekend duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the Ticketmaster and Archtics computerized ticketing systems to assist guests in selecting and purchasing tickets for events at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center
  • Assists in the processing of season ticket packages
  • Prints and prepares tickets for mailing and will call
  • Processes a variety of transactions, including credit cards, cash, checks, gift certificates and vouchers
  • Cash handling skills include making change and balancing sales at the end of each shift
  • Complete reports, forms and tasks as required by the department
  • Greeting and welcoming of all guests
  • Answering questions and responding to requests from patrons, both in person and over the phone
  • Provides a high level of customer service that is consistent with the Center’s ideals and maintains a positive attitude with co-workers, managers and patrons
  • Arrives on time for scheduled shifts, and if unable to attend a scheduled shift, is responsible for finding adequate coverage for shift
  • Other general office duties as assigned by managers, including data entry
  • Upholds the Center’s guidelines for professional appearance and attire

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer proficiency, good keyboarding skills and experience with Excel.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively and courteously interact with a large and diverse customer base
  • Knowledge of the performing arts is helpful
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Professionalism and an upbeat, positive attitude a must


This is a part-time position with wages paid every two weeks based on a per hour rate.
