This fresh, innovative theatrical performance captures the voice of today’s youth through hip-hop, spoken word poetry, music and movement. Using live theater and a literacy curriculum to encourage writing as a tool for overcoming obstacles, History of the Word examines topics like body image, race relations, freedom and what it means to be an American.
