Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence with Ballet Folklórico. Steeped in cultural significance, Ballet Folklórico means folk dance or dance of the people. Drawing from the rich history of the Aztecs, Spain and the Caribbean, this performance explores Mexico’s past and the heroes who shaped it through the art of dance incorporating everything from flamenco to traditional Spanish waltzes. Students will have their toes tapping and fingers snapping while learning a piece of Mexican heritage.
