P.A.T.H.S. Program

The Frank C. Shattuck Performing Arts Touch the Hearts of Students (P.A.T.H.S.) Program works annually with a group of students with un-activated potential to engage them through the arts. Through this program, the Center helps students remove themselves from patterns they are caught in by offering them life changing moments and access to world-class, live Broadway experiences. Students are introduced to character building themes, community awareness and new art forms as they are led through hands-on workshops, engagement activities and interaction with the touring cast, teaching artists and Center staff. Past projects have included “Changed for Good” based on the theme of self-discovery in Wicked, “Raise Your Voice” a song-writing project inspired by Once that encouraged students to chase their dreams and “La Vie Boheme” in connection with Rent which promoted acceptance and respect.

2023-24 P.A.T.H.S. Program – “Riddle Me This”

Riddle me this, what’s a great program that allows students to explore theatrical arts on a deeper level while gaining confidence in themselves? The answer: The Frank C. Shattuck Performing Arts Touch the Hearts of Students program! This year, students will explore the world of improv and what it is like to be creative at the drop of a hat. Working with a teaching artist, students will learn various improv games, explore theatrical and creative skills, and perform their new skills at a Showcase of their talent for friends and family. They will also get to see creative skills and comedy on stage by attending a performance of CLUE at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

"We see the P.A.T.H.S. program as an excellent way to expose our students to the arts. For many of the students, these types of activities are not things they have done before, so they often have to step out of their comfort zones and try something new."
