"Fresh Take" Town Hall: Exploring Race and Recidivism

The 16th Annual event focused on Wisconsin connected films starts off the weekend with a very special and unique session from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday.  It is called “Fresh Take” Town Hall: Exploring Race and Recidivism. There will be a variety of panelists, interviews and discussions during the two hour session that will be moderated by community leader and host of “Fresh Take” on WHBY - Josh Dukelow. While this is FREE and no ticket is required to attend, priority seating will be given to festival ticket holders. The History Museum at the Castle will also be on hand with portions of their display “A Stone of Hope: Black Experiences in the Fox Cities."

We would like to thank the City of Appleton, Lawrence University, ThedaCare, Pulse YP Network, United Way Fox Cities, and WHBY for their assistance in making this important community event happen.

FREE Admission - Limited seats available - Priority seating will be given to ticket holders.

Galactic Gathering: Mini Comic and Graphic Novel Convention Event

The Intergalactic Nemesis: Target Earth- A Live-Action Graphic Novel show is landing at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in March and to celebrate the Neenah Public Library is having an out-of- this- world event!
 
Join us for a comic book and graphic novel mini convention and dive into unknown galaxies with a variety of activities. Visit different stations to learn about the history, future and fun facts about comics, illustrations and graphic novels. Create your own celestial comic strip scene, graphic novel speech bubble and pose in front of your favorite far away world. Glimpse into the future with our 3D printer presentation while enjoying a variety of refreshments. Be sure to dress to impress, prizes will be awarded for the best costumes!
