2016-17 Season At A Glance

Last July, we welcomed you to a "beautiful" season, promising engaging, educational and enriching performances from around and out of this world. At the time, not even we realized how beautiful it would turn out to be. This season, we welcomed nearly 200,000 people, saw our 30th Wisonsin Broadway premiere, facilitated community conversations, introduced two completely new initiatives and so much more.

We introduced the Spotlight Series, taking place in our beautiful Kimberly-Clark Theater. This new performing arts series brought diverse groups to the Center and invited audiences to immerse themselves in each performance.

The Center Stage High School Musical Theater Awards also provided a year full of excitement, with fourteen participating high schools visiting all year long for professional workshops led by touring artists. The program culminated with a showcase for the community a red-carpet evening celebrating our talented local high school theater programs.

In addition, a weeklong residency with Spectrum Dance Theater provided the opportunity for our community to gather and engage in important conversation. Together, students, patrons and community members reflected on topics affecting our community through the use of movement.

There is, of course, so much more to talk about and as you review this season's highlights we hope you share in the excitement about the amazing things happening in our community. It is your support, investment and passion that help to make the Center a gathering place where the arts come alive!
