While The Bodyguard has been a hit in the UK since 2012, it is making its first appearance in the United States right now. The Bodyguard had its North American premiere at the Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey in December. The first US National tour launches in Minneapolis before arriving in the Fox Cities for its Wisconsin premiere Jan. 17 where audiences in Appleton will be among the first to enjoy the show!
2. The show is led by R&B superstar Deborah Cox
The R&B singer-songwriter, originally from Toronto, is the owner of 12 number-one hits and her 1998 song “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” held the record for the longest running number one single for nearly eight years. She’s performed twice on Broadway and recorded a duet with Whitney Houston for her greatest hits album called Same Script, Different Cast. Her performance in The Bodyguard is not one to be missed!
3. You’ve probably seen the leading man, Judson Mills, before
You’ve probably seen Judson Mills, who will take on the role of Frank Farmer, before. Mills is most well-known for his role as Francis Gage in Walker, Texas Ranger. Recently, you may have been him in HBO’s new series Westworld, in addition to Bones, CSI Miami, The X-Files, Murder, She Wrote, Law & Order and in his role as Alexander Hutchinson in As The World Turns.
