1. Broadway shows with credits you know

This year’s Broadway lineup is full of brand new shows, revivals and returns that are sure to find their place among your favorites. Each show also comes with some big name composers that have written some of the most recognizable and beloved tunes in musical theater: The Little Mermaid (Alan Menken), Waitress (6-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles), The King and I (Rodgers and Hammerstein), An American In Paris (George Gershwin), School of Rock (Andrew Lloyd Webber), Les Miserables (Claude-Michel Schönberg), Wicked (Stephen Schwartz) and Rent (Jonathan Larson).

2. Local artists taking center stage
It’s your chance to say “hey, I know them!” in three titles this season. The 14th Annual Fox Cities Choral Music Festival returns with three local high schools taking the stage separately and then joining together under the direction of Sandra Snow (professor of Choral Conducting and Music Education at Michigan State University) for a grand finale.

The Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra will also take the stage with acclaimed violinist Joshua Bell, who returns to the Center for the first time since his 2003 performance for what is sure to be a memorable performance.
