Theater Policies

All bags may be subject to search upon entry. Large bags and backpacks are prohibited in the theater and we request you leave them in your vehicle or at coat check.

Cameras, cell phones and recording equipment

Cameras and/or recording devices are strictly prohibited inside Thrivent Financial Hall and Kimberly-Clark Theater. The Center reserves the right to confiscate any cameras or recording devices used in these locations. Personal photos may be taken inside the Center’s lobby areas, and cameras may be checked at coat check. When attending a performance, please turn off all cell phones, pagers and beeping watches.

The Center would like to encourage families to enjoy performances together; however, in consideration of other ticket holders, unless specified, most performances are not suitable for infants and toddlers, and all persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket. If you have any questions regarding this policy or the age appropriateness of a performance for your child, please contact the Center’s ticket office at (920) 730-3760.

Concealed weapons

Under Wisconsin Act 35, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center prohibits employees and the public with conceal carry permits from entering the building with weapons. All Center visitors are subject to reasonable search and enforcement, and anyone found in violation will be asked to secure the weapon inside their vehicle or leave the property immediately. Violators will be subject to police involvement, potential fines and a ban from the Center’s premises. No ticket returns, refunds or exchanges will be made for people found in violation of the Center’s weapons ban. Please note, performances onstage at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center may incorporate props and special effects that resemble weapons. All simulated use of weapons is supervised for safety by Center personnel.

Disruptive behavior

During the performance, talking, coughing, rustling of paper and noise from digital watches and other devices disturb performers and your fellow audience members. To ensure guests and performers enjoy shows free of distractions, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center reserves the right to ask any individual to leave if his or her behavior is deemed by the Center as disruptive.

Doors open

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center’s doors open one hour prior to show time. Ticketholders should plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled performance time. The Center makes every attempt to begin each performance at its scheduled time. Please be advised that many productions require that latecomers not be admitted until there is a suitable break, as deemed by the show’s director.

Emergency contact information

Because the use of cell phones and pagers is distracting to others, please leave the phone number for the Center’s information desk, (920) 730-3710, with babysitters and others who may need to reach you in an emergency. Upon arrival, the Center asks that you alert the information desk attendant with your names and seat locations. An usher will discreetly notify you in the event of an emergency. Please note, the information desk phone is staffed during public performances only.

Inclement weather

Generally, the Center’s performances will go on as scheduled regardless of inclement weather, and no refunds will be issued. However, in the unlikely event that the Center cancels a performance, refunds will be promptly distributed.

The Center is entirely smoke-free. In accordance with City of Appleton Ordinance 35-05, please be advised that performances may include smoking by artists onstage. Strobe, haze and other special effects may also be used during performances.
