Link Up: The Orchestra Sings

THIS EVENT IS RUNNING VIRTUALLY OCTOBER 2020 - MAY 2021

It is time to lift voices and instruments in song! In partnership with the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra and Carnegie Hall, students are invited to explore how melody can make an orchestra sing. Students will learn to sing and move through their in-person or virtual classrooms, culminating the program with an interactive, virtual concert with musicians from the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra. Through the Link Up curriculum, students will explore pieces by Beethoven, Brackett, Papoulis and more.

LINK UP: THE ORCHESTRA SINGS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

This virtual workshop will serve as an opportunity for educators to learn about Link Up: The Orchestra Sings curriculum, interact with the conductor and share best practices.Please note the workshop is required for those who register for Link Up. Educators willalso be given the opportunity to register their classrooms for virtual visits from the FoxValley Symphony Orchestra teaching artists. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday,October 22 from 12-2 p.m. on Zoom. Educators that can attend live are encouraged to do so, however a recording will be made available to all those that register.
