Children’s Week Dance Workshop
Kick off Appleton Parks and Recreation’s Children’s Week with a high-energy dance session in the park! Led by local arts professional Miki Wise, this workshop is all about movement, rhythm and learning the foundations of theatrical dance.
What to Expect
During this fun and interactive dance class, Miki will guide you through the essential building blocks of Musical Theater dance, including:
- The Basics: Master jazz squares, pivot turns and more.
- The Big Number: Learn a full, choreographed combination set to a hit Broadway song you already know and love.
- The Finale: By the end of the hour, you’ll be ready to perform the entire routine from start to finish!

- When: Monday, July 20 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Where: Jones Park | 301 W. Lawrence St., Appleton
- Who: Recommended for ages 10-14, but performers of all ages are welcome to join!
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new, come prepared to sweat, step and smile in the great outdoors. No experience required – just bring your energy and desire to learn in a welcoming environment.
