Annual Partner Spotlight: How Thrivent Doubles Employee Impact with Gift Matching Program
So many of our Annual Business Partners support the live performing arts in innovative ways, and Thrivent Gift Matching program is certainly no exception. To learn more about the program – which doubles the potential impact of employee and retiree contributions – we spoke with Jenni Eickelberg, Corporate Responsibility Manager for the Fox Cities, and Jacinda Schneiter, who oversees the Gift Matching program on the Corporate Responsibility Operations team for Thrivent.
What was the inspiration behind Thrivent’s retirement/employee Gift Matching program?
The Thrivent Gift Matching program is inspired by Thrivent’s long‑standing commitment to generosity and community impact. We know our employees and retirees care deeply about giving back, and this program was created to amplify their personal generosity. By matching individual donations, Thrivent helps extend the impact of those gifts – strengthening nonprofits and the communities they serve.
Why do you think supporting nonprofits, and Fox Cities P.A.C. specifically, is so important?
Supporting nonprofits is vital, as they address community needs and strengthen local areas. Fox Cities Performing Arts Center plays an important role in strengthening the community by providing access to the performing arts and fostering cultural and economic vitality across the region – an impact Thrivent is proud to support.
What would you say to an organization who is considering something similar to the Gift Matching program?
Companies considering launching a gift matching program should understand how it can enhance employee engagement and retention. When organizations match gifts, they demonstrate support for their employees’ passions and the causes important to them. This program can enhance a positive workplace atmosphere, reinforce the company’s mission, and motivate the workforce to feel appreciated and participate more actively within both the organization and the wider community.
