Center Stage Program Brings Dance Workshop to Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center

October 17, 2025

Fox Cities Performing Arts Center’s Center Stage High School Musical Theater Program is bringing its students together for a day of movement, creativity, and connection at a dance workshop at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 1.

This high-energy workshop will give participating students the opportunity to build dance technique, confidence, and collaboration skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. The session will be led by industry professionals Molly Maher-Lucareli and Jarrod Pfarr, who have been leading workshops for Center Stage students since 2022.

“This workshop will give students an opportunity to dive into the fundamentals of dance in a fun, supportive setting,” says Maher-Lucareli. “Students will train in a fast-paced environment where they’ll strengthen their technique, build confidence, find their artistic presence, and learn to lift one another up as performers.”

Ashwaubenon High School is one of 34 schools participating in the Center Stage Program from an eleven county radius in Northeast Wisconsin. The collaboration between the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center expands the accessibility for students to attend a workshop who may otherwise have barriers with transportation, creating new opportunities for students across the region to learn and grow through the performing arts.

“Collaborating on programs like this allows us to expand opportunities for high school students in our community, providing a supportive space where they can grow as dancers, connect with peers, and be inspired by the power of the performing arts.”

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Center Stage High School Musical Theater Program continues to be a cornerstone of the Center’s education initiatives. The program celebrates and supports the achievements of young performers across Northeast Wisconsin and currently includes 34 participating high schools, more than double the number that joined during its first year.

“Reaching our 10th anniversary with 34 participating schools is a powerful reflection of the program’s impact and commitment to arts education in our community,” says Amy Gosz, Chief Programming Officer at the Center.

Throughout the 2025–26 season, students will experience a variety of workshops, leadership roles, and performance opportunities, opportunities like the dance workshop on November 1.

The season will culminate with the Center Stage High School Musical Theater Showcase on Saturday, May 16, where students will come together at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center to celebrate their achievements, honor excellence in high school musical theater, and share the joy of live performance with the community.

“The magic of live performing arts can be both inspiring and transformative for high school students. We’re thrilled to give students these experiences to explore what excites them, challenge themselves, and grow as artists.”
