The Tap Pack Swinging into the Fox Cities P.A.C.

“Old school cool from the new Kings of Swing.”
These nine words perfectly describe The Tap Pack, a high-energy tap and comedy show coming to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. as part of Boldt’s Arts Alive! Series that highlights unique, entertaining and passionate talent from around the world.
The Tap Pack’s name is inspired by the infamous Rat Pack group from the 1950s and ‘60s featuring the talents of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. The group often joined each other onstage for impromptu performances which created lots of excitement for future shows. Members of the group also filmed several movies with each other in the early ‘60s including Ocean’s 11. The Rat Pack was famous for their successes but also for their close bond which is reflected through The Tap Pack.
Dressed in sleek suits and tap shoes, the five-member group from Australia delivers an impeccable variety show featuring live swing music, witty banter and jokes, individual stories and performances, incredible vocals and of course, energetic tap dancing each and every show. With over 20 musical theater productions between the cast members in addition to film and television credits, The Tap Pack interweaves years of entertainment and theater expertise to bring audiences a performance like no other, all while channeling the Rat Pack era’s timeless style.
In addition to their comedic jokes and out of this world tap dancing, the men also showcase their DIY percussion skills, using items such as pool cue sticks and cocktail shakers to create interesting beats and rhythms to add to their storytelling and musical numbers. Overall, The Tap Pack is a captivating variety show highlighting the talents of five men who have one goal: to entertain.
Hot off tours in Australia and Europe, you won’t want to miss The Tap Pack’s 2020 North American tour making a stop at the Fox Cities P.A.C. on March 3.
