4. Amazon Prime will be home for new movie musicals
The film adaptation for the Olivier-nominated musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie will now premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video on September 17. Originally announced to release in theaters on October 23, 2020 by 20th Century Studios, the film saw several delays due to COVID-19.
The new Cinderella movie musical will be available to audiences on Amazon Prime. Deadline reports that Amazon Studios is closing a deal to acquire worldwide rights to the Cinderella film remake from Sony Pictures. The move is expected to be released later this year.

Let the sun come streaming in because the first trailer for the Dear Evan Hansen movie is here! Ben Platt reprises his Tony-winning turn as Evan Hansen alongside a starry cast that includes Julianne Moore as Heidi Hansen, Amy Adams as Cynthia Murphy, Danny Pino as Larry Murphy, and more. The film, directed by Stephen Chbosky, will hit movie theaters on September 24.
Jennifer Hudson also stuns in the trailer for the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect. Tony nominee Liesl Tommy directed the film. which is set to arrive in theaters on August 13.
