You’re originally from Wisconsin! Tell us about your Badger State roots:
I love Wisconsin! I was born in Madison and raised in Cottage Grove, so I attended the Monona Grove school district (where my mom was my choir teacher in high school!). I then went to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for my BFA in Musical Theatre before moving out to New York City.
What have been some of your favorite roles to play?
On my last tour, I played the role of “Ella” in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella- this was a dream role of mine growing up, so hands down my favorite role I’ve played!
The shutdown obviously impacted the theater and touring industries greatly. What did you do to stay inspired during that time away from the stage?
I went back to school actually! Through the program Disney Aspire, I was able to start my Master of Science in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology (I just graduated in December 2021!!). I also got my yoga teacher training certification- so you could say I found ways to stay busy :-)
Finish the sentence…
I can’t travel without my
…. Kitty! I’ve been touring with my adorable black cat, Marceline; she makes anywhere feel like home.
The first thing I do in a new city is
… find the nearest açaí bowl place
The song stuck in my head after the show is
… Let it Go, Let it Gooooo….
The thing I missed most about performing live for audiences during the shutdown was
… my touring family :(
When they told us we were going to Appleton, my first thought was
… will there still be snow on the ground??
Here’s your chance to say something to the audience…
