Travel the world with Todd Green

Without even taking a single step, we are able to travel the world. Whether it be through film or television, magazines or novels, the nightly news or even Instagram, media has the ability to transport us to places we’ve been or have only dreamt about. For Todd Green, a solo multi-instrumentalist, music is how he transports his audiences around the world.
Green will be bringing more than 30 instruments to his performance at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on November 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kimberly-Clark Theater as part of the Center’s Spotlight Series. This series “spotlights” talented performers in the Kimberly-Clark Theater which creates an immerse, unique atmosphere and experience for audience members.
The performance features over 30 acoustic string, flute and percussion instruments from around the world, including those popular in Central Asia, the Middle East and South America.
Through his instruments, musical talents and informative discussion interwoven throughout the show, Green shares the experiences of other cultures and showcases the world’s diverse styles of music, sounds and rhythms. His one mission is to “help bring down the barriers that divide us by experiencing other cultures through their music.”
Music has always been an essential part of Green’s life. He picked up his first guitar at age 10 and was writing his own music and performing professionally by age 15. He studied music in college, worked privately with renowned artists and toured with bands throughout North America and Europe. Today, Green plays nationally as a solo artist, visiting theaters, colleges, and schools in the United States.
Music has its own way of transporting us to new places, sharing cultures and bringing people together, often in new and inspiring ways. Todd Green has found a way to do all of these things through his instruments and talents; it’s a show you don’t want to miss.
