Enjoy a complimentary concert by an outstanding artist trio (vocal, sitar, tabla), who are also the torch bearers of three important Gharanas (schools of training), who will enthrall the audience in a unique concert. * Janab Arshad Ali Khan (representing the best known Kirana Gharana of vocal music )
A sensational present generation singer of India … Janab Arshad Ali Khan is the direct descendant in the lineage of Ustad Abdul Wahid Khan and Ustad Abdul Karim Khan, the founders of Kirana Gharana. Introduced by Sangeet Research Academy (Kolkata) as a child prodigy, he was described as the biggest sensation of Sawai Gandharva Sammelan at the age of 9.
* Vidushi Sahana Banerjee (representing the famous Rampur-Senia Gharana)
Vidushi Sahana Banerjee is one of the best known lady Sitar players of India and the true torch-bearer of Rampur-Senia Gharana or school of music which she has learned from her illustrious father sitar/surbahar maestro Pt.Santosh Banerjee who was a direct disciple of Ustad Dabir Khan Sahaab who is of lineage of Mian Tansen.
*Pt Subhen Chatterjee (www.subhenchatterjee.net) is an internationally acclaimed tabla exponent (seniormost disciple of tabla legend Pt.Swapan Chowdhury) representing Lucknow Gharana
