Spotlight on Broadway Series Partner, Kimberly-Clark Corporation
Located in Neenah, the Kimberly-Clark Corporation is the Title Partner for the Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America – Fox Cities Series. Laura Welsh serves as their Corporate Social Responsibility & Community Impact Manager and has written this blog as a guest writer of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
As the Corporate Social Responsibility & Community Impact Manger for Kimberly-Clark, I have the honor of leading the social and community impact of our North American consumer brands. Part of that is representing Kimberly-Clark and our philanthropic work in the Fox Valley. Over 150 years ago, Kimberly-Clark was founded in Neenah. Since then, we have grown to serve one quarter of the world’s population – transforming insights and technologies into innovative products that improve lives.
Part of what I find so special about Kimberly-Clark is our legacy of caring. Our corporate purpose is Better Care for a Better World, and we bring this to life not only with our products, but also through our employee engagement, philanthropic giving and community leadership.
The arts make an impact long beyond the enjoyment of a single show. Creativity, innovation, and unique thinking are all things we look for in our employees. Through local and accessible experiences in the arts, the kind of original thinking the world needs is able to grow, develop, and be celebrated. The Broadway Across America series is an important part of building a strong, diverse community. It brings people together and helps the Fox Cities P.A.C. provide unique experiences that can often only be found in larger cities. We’re proud to be a part of that contribution to our great community.
As a self-described “theater nerd,” the Center is place where my personal passion is brought to life. My favorite part of attending an event at the Fox Cities P.A.C. is the diversity of both attendees you meet and experiences you can have. The arts and creativity can be a great equalizer for all walks of life. The Center has enabled me to provide my children with experiences that have helped foster a love of live performances that they will have for their lifetimes – and hopefully pass down to their children as well.
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is part of what makes this community a great place to live, work and play. It’s a fantastic gathering place, with programs and performances that appeal to everyone. It is an amazing resource to have in our own backyard.
