Planning a special engagement you can be proud of begins with finding the right facility to meet your vision, your needs and your budget. How many people will you invite? Will it be a catered event? Do you want valet service for your guests? If you’re wondering where to begin making decisions, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center has the information you need to help make your dream event a reality!
The main entrance to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center features a large rotunda with an impressive four-level atrium. The atrium extends across the entire south face of the building and features a grand staircase to the upper levels of the theater. Each landing of these upper levels becomes part of the lobby space getting progressively smaller as they reach the top.
From each landing, patrons see and experience the total lobby space. Large glass windows enclose the exterior wall of the lobby, allowing the patrons to look out onto College Avenue. A large sloped skylight at the east end of the lobby rises above the ceiling of the Founders Room. Two elevators provide access to all levels of the lobby with ample restroom facilities and concession stands throughout. With carpeted floors and a beautiful balcony overlooking the main lobby and downtown Appleton, the dress circle lobby offers a wonderful space for a reception, banquet or luncheon. The lobby also features easy access to restrooms, a built-in bar, coat check and immediate access from the elevators.
Lobby areas are not available for private functions during events held in Thrivent Hall, and cannot be rented independently of each other.

The Kimberly-Clark Theater is a flexible space that is used for a variety of performances and community functions. With an interior design that is far more appealing than a typical “black box” theater, this multi-purpose theater is 56 feet wide, 75 feet long, and 25 feet high with over 4,000 square feet of usable space.
The Kimberly-Clark Theater is an acoustically rich space with technical details similar to those in Thrivent Hall. The walls are a thick concrete with deeply textured surfaces on the exposed face. This texture provides an interesting finish to the concrete but more importantly, provides acoustic treatment to breakdown sound energy. Brick curtain pockets can be found on the sidewalls that hide acoustical curtains, which can be drawn depending on the desired sound. In addition, the theater has audio and lighting systems and acoustical curtains.
In its simplest configuration, the room is a simple rectangular space that is approximately the same size as the main stage performance area, with wing space that can accommodate rehearsals. This large, open space is also suitable for classes, meetings, banquets, wedding receptions and trade shows. Seats are placed on the floor for cabaret seating, experimental theater or theater-in-the-round performances.
A seating ledge wraps around the entire room at the second level with three rows of permanent seating at the south end. Retractable telescopic seating risers and a portable stage platform can easily convert this multi-function room into a proscenium-style theater space for local production companies and lectures. ADA accessible seating is available on both levels. Restrooms are located near Kimberly-Clark Theater, including a family restroom with changing table. All restrooms are wheelchair-accessible.
